Over time, data offers us a storyline of what is happening in our natural world.
The Fresh to Salt project encourages student and community scientists to go out and collect data on their local watersheds so that they have a better understanding of their water systems’ abiotic and biotic factors. Having a whole community of people collect data from inland waterways to coastal shores can help inform them if the water systems and ecosystems are in balance. After all, we all flow together.
Each data set collected by student and community scientists is linked to a lesson field activity developed by Herring Gut Coastal Science Center. If you would like access to lessons, email us at [email protected] to join the Fresh to Salt project. Participants in Fresh to Salt: Flowing Together have the ability to contribute to our data stories.
